Green Waha project

Green management is a social responsibility for today’s world due to many reasons affecting humankind and our environment.

As a partner of choice to Tunisia, OMV is holding the highest levels of environmental performance where we operate.

OMV Tunisia took the initiative to install a sewage water treatment facility in the Waha field with the intention to convert the generated wastewate streams to treated water, which complies with the Tunisian laws and international regulations.

The objective of the ongoing project is to plant indigenous trees and shrubs in the desert to make our “Green Waha” deserving its name of an oasis in the desert.
